Update: Tas Baptists Collaborative NT Translation

We are pleased to share encouraging progress on our new New Testament translation project, a significant partnership that will help make God’s Word more accessible to communities in a troubled region of Asia.

Several important milestones have recently been reached. The Memorandum of Understanding has now been drafted and is in the final stages of approval, the translation team has been finalised, and arrangements are underway to establish the financial processes needed to support the project. With these foundations coming into place, the translation work is scheduled to commence on 1st of Sept 2026.

This project represents an exciting opportunity for Tasmanian Baptist churches to partner together in making the Scriptures available in people’s heart language. We are grateful for the generous pledges already made and now invite churches and individuals to begin contributing towards those commitments. Contributions can be made by direct deposit to the Tasmanian Baptist Bank Account: If you have any questions please feel free to email info@tasbaptists.org.au

Thank you for your partnership in this important ministry. Please continue to pray for the translation team, for wisdom and accuracy in their work, and that many people will come to know Christ through God’s Word in their own language.
