Town and Country Churches
Penguin
December 9 Christmas service at Coroneagh Park (local elderly residential home). The Penguin churches have been holding services there on a rostered basis basically since the Home opened in 1995. We now cover the first three Mondays of each month (morning), and the Ulverstone Gospel Chapel hold a service there on the 4th Sunday afternoon each month. So the Residents have four church services to attend/choose from each month. (We will be taking a break until later in February).
December 13 We joined the local Anglican congregation for their morning service of 9 Lessons and Carols followed by morning tea. We visit each other a couple of times per year. Normally we have lunch together but this year decided it was wiser to just have morning tea.
We then had a Christmas lunch at Carmichael's home, as we usually do at this time of year.
9:30am Christmas Day We will have a short service on Christmas morning, as usual, for around half an hour
Coastlands (Burnie)
December 20 Coastlands only Christmas activity was a very lovely Carol Service.
December 25 Most of our congregation will be away, so any others will be worshipping at the Burnie service.
