1. NATIONAL NEIGHBOUR DAY, TODAY: Sunday 26th March 2023
Today, it's a good day to pray for your neighbours, both at home and nearby your church building. CONSIDER: What can you do to be a better neighbour? Is there a random act of kindness you can do to simply be Jesus" in your community? ❤
2. TASMANIAN BAPTIST ADMIN STAFF, Based at Riverlands, Longford
Please remember to pray for our Administration staff, who do so much work behind the scenes to support churches, and keep things ticking!
Rodney Marshall (TB Administrator) and Anna-Maree Richardson (TB Admin Assistant) are the friendly faces in our office. 🙂
3. CROSSOVER EASTER APPEAL.All Tasmanian Baptist churches have received a Crossover Easter pack. The appeal is the annual effort to fund Crossover, an Australian Baptist Ministry, who provide amazing resources to help Baptists with local mission. Please pray for a great response to the appeal as we support Crossover to make it easier for Aussie Baptists to share Jesus in culturally appropriate ways. 💐

1. SANCTUARY SUNDAY, 19th March, Hobart Baptist 🇦🇺 🇵🇭 🇮🇳 🇰🇷 🇻🇳
Twice a year, Hobart Baptist celebrates its various "Sanctuaries" - the groups who gather as part of the church. Please pray for them today as they enjoy a special time praising God for their unity and diversity with the Aussie, Karen, Filippino, Korean, Vietnamese, and Anuak (Ethiopian) fellowships, and others.
2. TASMANIAN BAPTIST COUNCIL, Next Saturday, 25th March 🙌
As the Tas Baptist Council meets at Riverlands (Longford) next weekend, please pray for safe travels, robust discussion, wise decision-making and Spirit-led conversations. Our Council are pictured: Matt Garvin (S), Mark Harris (S), Rose Beeston (N), Renata Carmichael (S), Stephen Baxter (Mission Director), Wendy Marston (N), Owen Muskett (NW), Louis Fife (NW), Scott Ambrose (S, Chair). On Tuesday, our State Parliamentarians will sit for the second time this year. Please pray for them as they perform the difficult task of governing our state, representing us - their constituents.

1. FOSTER CARERS AND KIDS Fostering Hope 👧🧒👶🧕🧓👩‍🦰👱‍♀️
Baptist families are involved in foster care in every region of our state. Please pray for the carers, their support networks, and the foster children and families as Tasmania grapples with growing numbers of kids in care. Give thanks for Mary Dickins and the team at Fostering Hope who partner with Tas Baptists to support foster care families in churches. Pray for any foster families you know.

Please pray for Anita Booker who is active across Tasmania assisting churches to run Alpha courses, including many Tas Baptist churches.

1. CLEAN UP AUSTRALIA DAY, TODAY: Sunday 5th March
This morning Citywide are not meeting as usual but are instead gathering with their community to join Clean Up Australia Day. Please pray they will have a great morning together, and that their presence will create opportunities for good conversations with other volunteers. (showing Citywide cleaning up in 2022)
2. SU TAS SCHOOLS SUNDAY, TODAY: Sunday 5th March
Scripture Union Schools Sunday is a day set aside for churches to pray for, and support, young people and their local school community at the start of a new school year. This week, make it your priority to pray for the schools, teachers and students you know.
3. INTERNATIONAL WOMEN'S DAY Wednesday 8th March
Pray a blessing for the women in your life. Pray for those in your church and be grateful to God for their service. Also, pray for girls you know, for health, faith and confidence as they grow up. Pray too for women in the broader community especially those who struggle with domestic violence and abuse - that God will reveal himself, and his solutions, to them.

1. PROVIDING A WELCOME Be challenged
At the Pastors' and Leaders' Muster in Hobart, the discussion focussed on providing communities of belonging for all who seek to be followers of Jesus. This can cause discomfort, but is no more than what Jesus did. Pray for yourself, and your church, as you press into the true nature of welcome for all comers.
2. PASTORS ON LONG SERVICE at Lifeway (Devonport) and Summerhill
Nicholas Alexander (Lifeway) and his family are on long service leave.
Maddy Svoboda (Summerhill) and his family return from long service leave this week. Pray for them as they enjoy, or return, from a well-earned break, and that they come back refreshed and inspired.
Give thanks too for their leadership teams, who have kept their fellowships running.
3. ARTWAY MINISTRY Gateway, Launceston
Please pray for Noel and Beckie Eagling and the team at Gateway Baptist who hold twice weekly sessions for art and craft. As people drop-in and enjoy lunch, the Gateway team enjoy time with the local community. Pray God will bless them with connections, and opportunities for Gospel conversations.
