Operation Christmas Child

gospel opportunities:

Your Shoebox Gifts ARE Needed

Operation Christmas Child is so grateful for the support of Tasmanian Baptist Churches around the state again in 2020. It is through your compassion and generosity, together with some 84,000 ministry partners worldwide, that OCC is able to bless over 10 million children each year with the life transforming power of God's unconditional love and the good news and great joy of the Gospel message.

For the millions of children living around the world currently living in orphanages, refugee camps, war zones, disaster regions, and extreme poverty, giving them the opportunity to know Jesus' love, and the hope of the Gospel by packing a shoebox gift this year, really matters.

What you do when you pack a shoebox gift, matters. It matters to God; and it matters to children who come to know Jesus. It matters to their families who also come to the faith; and it matters to churches around the world. Your packed shoebox is a tool God will use to open doors to communities previously closed to the Gospel, to unite churches, and to plant churches.

This Pandemic Year

During 2020, we have all experienced some of the uncertainty, fear and hopelessness that children living in poverty experience every day. While practical items will have a profound impact on their lives, particularly during this pandemic, we don't just want to send "a box of things".

Instead, we want to make an eternal impact on the life of each child. Last year 2.3 million children gave their lives to Jesus as a result of receiving an OCC shoebox gift. So we invite you to pack a box this year. One box equals one Gospel opportunity.

Thank you for your support. Together with local churches worldwide we are raising up an army of believers to take the good news and great joy of the Gospel to the next generation!
