1. NORTHERN CHURCHES, PRAY FOR CHRISTMAS EVENTS 🌟🎼
As we approach the end of 2023, please pray for our churches in the northwest of the state. Ask God for good community engagement over Christmas, and a good start to 2024: Bracknell, Deloraine, Gateway, City, George Town, Matu, Newstead, Perth, Riverlands (Longford), Summerhill, The Point, Westbury.

2. TAS BAPTISTS STAFF/COUNCIL; End of Year 2023 ❤️
Praise God for our staff and Council who have capably keep things humming along for our churches during 2023. Through all the crises of conscience, ups and downs of pastoral appointments, insurance woes, keeping our churches safe and much more, these faithful people have worked hard to create a great environment to enable local church connection and ministry.

1. NW Baptist Churches - PRAY FOR CHRISTMAS EVENTS 🌟
As we approach the end of 2023, please pray for our churches in the northwest of the state. Ask God for favour for them over the Christmas season, and for strong leadership as plans are formed for 2024: Smithton, Yolla, Wynyard, Somerset, Burnie, Coastlands, Ulverstone, Devonport, Lwr Barrington, Sheffield, Latrobe, Penguin and Sassafras.

2. New Communications Manager Fiona Bradley ‍🙋‍♀️
Praise God that Fiona Bradley (Hobart) has accepted the appointment of Communications Manager beginning in 2024. Fiona has an extensive history in Communications, and is keen to put her skills into use with Tas Baptists!

3. Gender-based violence 25th November to 10th December 🤕💔
The global 16 Days of Activism against Gender-Based Violence is a key moment to call for an end to violence against women and girls. With domestic violence a huge issue, women and girls are at risk here in Tasmania. Please pray for women and girls you know who may be at risk. Offer your love and support. 1. DAY OF COURAGE - PRAISE POINT Last Saturday, 18th November
Praise God for a very successful day at Longford when over 130 women gathered for the Day of Courage. Coming from around the state, and crossing denominational boundaries, the day featured keynote Rev. Karen Wilson, President of Baptist World Alliance - Women; a Baptist Women's World Day of Prayer session; and thoughts about courage from three Tasmanian women.

2. TAS BAPTIST COUNCIL MEET, NEXT Saturday 2nd December
Pray for the TB Council as they meet next weekend that God will keep them safe as they travel to Longford, that they will have open and honest discussion, and make wise decisions on behalf of our Assembly.

3. INTERNATIONAL DAY FOR THE ABOLITION OF SLAVERY
NEXT Saturday 2nd December According to the United Nations, 1 in every 150 people worldwide are trapped in modern-day slavery. Rather than feeling disempowered, pray about this horrifying statistic, and keep yourself informed. https://www.un.org/en/observances/slavery-abolition-day

1. WORLD CHILDREN'S DAY, Monday 20th November 👲👱‍♀️👧🧒
World Children’s Day offers an opportunity to promote and celebrate children’s rights that will build a better world for them. Pray today for the children you know, the ones you and your church sponsor, and those your church connects with. The future of the world depends on them!

2. FOSTERING HOPE, Tas Baptists' partnership ❤️🧡
Fostering Hope is an important ministry enabling families all over Tasmania to care for foster children. Take time today to pray for foster children in Tassie, and for the foster parents you know who are working hard to care for them.

3. YOUTH AROUND OUR STATE, Young people's programs
Many of our churches run inspired youth programs for teens in their churches and beyond. In addition, Hobart Baptist runs a Boys' Brigade company. Please be in prayer for these youth. As well, remember their leaders as they work towards creating a healthy envronment for teens to grow up in. 21st Century youth need all the prayer we can offer them!
